The Witch Apprentice's Room | WIP

Blog breakdown of my workflow: https://alexiusodom.artstation.com/blog/oz6G/witch-apprentice-room-environment-breakdown-wip

My latest project is a small environment scene I built in UE5. I wanted to explore the relationship between space, enchantment, and innocuous darkness. Although magic is amoral, those who practice it have been divided into a good and evil dichotomy. However, the room of the witch apprentice is a space for exploration filled with clues for the viewer to determine which camp of morality the practitioner may reside in, if at all.

The original concept is by Vlada Panteleeva

The spruce trees in the background were purchased from Nils Arenz and edited to suit the environment.

Excluding the spruce trees, I designed all models, textures, VFX particles, and lighting.

My main objective was to learn how to create PBR textures and dive deeper into creating environments in UE5. The project was rendered using Lumen and video sequencer.

Some textures will need polishing. Plus, I want to make a golden-hour version of the environment and render using UE5's Path Tracer. But before that, I will need a new graphics card and fresh eyes before pushing the project further.

Thank you for viewing.
